I will do a short thing about me and why I became a cam model because I think it's important for anyone who comes here to understand WHY girls choose to do this job and what we ACTUALLY do.
The Why?
In August of 2014 I was broker than broke, I was in debt up to my eyeballs because of British Government failure of the benefit system that screwed me every way from Sunday and made my life worse than it ever made better, and my ever growing list of illnesses not only made it impossible for me to work a regular job but they also made me unemployable, no one wants to hire someone who has more sick days than work days! I didn't ask for any of the illnesses I have, but I have them non the less and in a country where employment was so low over half the country was in poverty all my partner could pick up was 16 hours at a local shop, this is not enough to run a house, so I went onto google and researched ways I could make money online, and there I found MyFreeCams..
After watching the site for a few days and seeing the different ways girls made money I decided to give it a go, what did I have to loose? I quickly realized that, even though most girls did the naked and the ''cumshow'' topics, you didn't actually HAVE to do any of that! I spent 7 months finding myself as a model, and tried a number of things, got on the wrong side of a model that quickly tried to ruin my life and reached a rock bottom of massive proportions, although we were making the bills, JUST, we couldn't pay any debt and blah blah, mess.
So one day I said enough is enough, I knew basic HTML from school, did myself a profile, a schedule, and put up a topic of ''Daily Goal'' instead.. I still offered the snapchat and the few vids I had done, but other than that, nothing. I turned on my Xbox console and I played my favorite game at the time which was Outlast ( scary as fuck jump scare, if your a gamer, look into it). Within a matter of days I was getting tips and new guys.. and I felt HAPPY. I was being myself and doing something I love! I then made a new club ''Team Kayla'' and put up a thing about the debt I was in and why I needed the money.. within two months I had cleared the worse of my debt and I had a good set of regulars, to achieve this I worked non stop for two months 4-6 hour straight shifts and only 1 day off a week.. Let me be clear, the process of getting regulars takes hard work and dedication, it doesn't just happen, not for any cam girl (even the porn stars bring guys they already had as fans).
And so here I am now.. I don't do 'cumshows', I very RARELY get naked, it's a special show that I do and usually will involve paints or something of the sort, my room is about fun and just chilling out and having a laugh, you don't HAVE to become the typical stereotype camgirl, you can do whatever the hell you want.. Girls like Alice Biscuit and Kickaz prove this every day, and they do very well..
So, go your own way.. MFC can change your life, if you let it and you work for it.
I'm New, Help!
OKAY - There is A LOT that goes into becoming a cam model, so you need to have the patience to go through as much of what I have put on here as possible, this is stuff I have learnt via experience and from other models who have helped me.. So, Don't Panic! I'm not an expert, I am NOT a top model, I am just very aware of how little help there is out there for girls wanting to do this job, nor does anyone really tell you the reality of it.. so I am going to do my best to provide as much TRUTH and INFO as I can based on MY OWN EXPERIENCE.
I also want to say, and let me be clear on this, being a Cam Girl is NOT FOR EVERYONE. It's okay to give it a go, but you may not like it, have time for it or it takes too much effort than you can give it right now, and that's okay!
Before I Broadcast..
So, you've signed up, you've been accepted and now you're sat staring at your PC like.. oh my shit. Yeah, I was there, I remember that feeling well.. Take a deep breath, t'will all be fine!
So, firstly. Don't broadcast. Unless you have already sat and watched MFC and know how the site works, got to know the system, where everything is and even watched some girls for inspiration and EVEN have a cool profile.. (if you've done all these things, GG and High Five!). If you HAVEN'T done all these things, DO THEM.
The one thing that MFC do not tell you and probably one of the most important things is this; Your first week as a model is your most important if you want to do well. You get ''New Model'' status which means you are bumped on the page and A LOT of guys go looking there for new and interesting girls to tip! Do NOT log on unless you know you can work your ass off and make the most of this week because after those 7 days are up, the Camscore you finish it with is your starting point as a model on MFC.. NOONE told me this and I suffered because of it! SO;
- Learn where everything is in your Model Page.
-Set up your payment method.
-Mess around with your webcam settings/make sure you know how to use it. (See Resources for ManyCams)
-Watch some of the top girls, watch how they are, what they do, the way they speak and act.
-Chat with some models under a Premium Account (A Prem Account Is A MUST IMO).
-Get yourself a twitter, follow some girls ( I will do a list of girls to follow ), Interact, gain some followers.
-If you want to do Snapchat, set it up.
-If you want to do Content, make some ready! ( I will do a page about content and content editing resources )
-Create yourself a profile (See Resources for CamGirlToolKit if you cannot do this yourself)
-Think about what you want to DO in your room, are you naked girl or a fun girl.
-Think of some clubs you want, a tip menu, look at other girls profiles for inspiration (there is NOTHING wrong with this)
-Prepare yourself mentally and emotionally to deal with Trolls, MFC has ALOT of them. Thick skin ladies!
-Make sure your Cam Area is tidy and everything is within reach, nothing worse than ''I've lost my damn paddle again''.
-Where possible have snacks/bottled drinks in your Cam Area for easy access, long times away from cam means people leave.
There is so MUCH advice I can give and I will add to this list as I remember, I am brain dead most days..
My Main Point Here..
Take advantage of your first week on MFC, work your ass off, go into this with a profile ready, content to sell, snapchats, KIK's, everything, hold your head up high when dealing with trolls, learn from other girls, be part of the community and you will be ready to do this thing properly.. I wish there had been someone to tell me all of this when I started because my MFC career would have been very different!
CAMSCORE
The Myth, The Legend, The Devil..
This is going to be a shortish one because, noone knows what the hell this thing is, how it works, or why the hell it's even there.. MFC refuse to answer any questions on it and if you query them on drops or heights, they basically ignore you.
This is my own current ''Scamscore'', mind, I don't pay too much attention to my own, I learnt the hard way, it's more stress than it's worth. Since May2015 my Score has rattled around this number, except in December when I took 2 weeks off to be with my family it dropped to 2200.. This is the thing you need to realize.. Scamscore does not allow for sick days, family days, vacations or casual time off.. it doesnt care, MFC doesn't care. MFC does not care for you, your family, your health or mental wellbeing, UNDERSTAND THIS.
This being true we don't have to give MFC that power.. People say Scamscore matters, from my own personal experience, this is BULLSHIT. Utter BULLSHIT. I dragged my score from 1200 to over 4000 in four months with hard work and dedication. Kickaz herself (One of MFCs highest earning models) dragged hers from 700 to where she is now..
So. HIDE IT. IGNORE IT. PRETEND IT DOES NOT EXIST, because it doesn't, not really.. HARD WORK, LONG HOURS and A SMILE is what makes a MFC career possible. YES the higher your score the higher up the page you are, but how high your score is, is upto YOU and YOU alone.. and don't forget, I gained ALL of my regulars with a very low score, so who says score matters anyway? It clearly doesn't.
-Hard Work.
-Long Hours.
-Dedication.
-Positive Attitude.
-ENERGY.
-A SMILE.
These are the things that determine how well you do on MFC and those things alone, because you are here for money, not a stupid number on a screen, right? RIGHT.
The Reality/Stay Safe
This will be the least positive thing you read whilst being here, but whilst depressing it's very important that you understand what you're taking on, when you decide to become a Cam Girl..
EVERYONE SEE'S EVERYTHING!
By becoming a webcam model, you are putting yourself out there for everyone to see, everything you post on your twitter, every video you sell, every snap you send, every conversation you have, PVT you do, Skype you offer is being broadcast to the entire world ( Please NOTE; MFC RECORD ALL PRIVATES AND GIVE THE RECORDING TO THE PREM THAT TOOK YOU PRIVATE, YES, REALLY). Take that on board. It's a small world. I have personally been found twice now and I live in a TINY backwater town in the middle of NOWHERE. Yes, you can block locations on MFC, but believe me, Prems can get around it with VPN's, so if someone gets wind you exist as a model and they want to see you, THEY WILL.
So please understand that you probably will be found out one day, the bigger the model you become, the more ''fame'' and public outing you get, bare this in mind.. be prepared for it.
On a side note PROTECT YOUR SHIT (see Video Content Resources), copyright your videos, your profiles, your images, your LIVE STREAMS so that jerkoffs out there do not buy them and sell them on so easily, make it harder for them. The harsh reality is, even WITH copyright they will STILL DO THIS. You cannot control this, all you can do is stamp that shit and if it appears on PornHub or whatever you can demand they take it down, in fact, they probably immediately will anyway. You cannot control how far your content goes, you cannot stop these jerkoffs from stealing and selling your shit, this is the reality of being a CamGirl, so bare this in mind when undertaking this as a job. 1 little video, before you know it, could have been seen hundreds of thousands of times.. for FREE. (guys even open websites where they sell bundles of girls stuff for membership to their websites, fucking DICKS right? Yeah, A PLAGUE ON ALL YOUR HOUSES JERKOFFS)
NEVER give out your real address to a Prem, he may seem like the most wonderful man on the planet, chances are he is a jerk, its horrid we have to live this way and a lot of guys ARE wonderful, but it is NOT worth the risk of some scary ass stalker turning up at your home.
Don't tell Prems stuff that is TOO personal unless you REALLY trust them, there are trolls out there who will pretend to get to know you then spread your personal life all over MFC and Twitter just because it's fun for them.
The same goes for Models, be careful whom you trust, again this is horrid, I'm not saying don't try to be besties but the fact is Girls can be two faced back stabbing hookers who will use you and abuse you, steal your prems, steal all your ideas, and again spread all your personal shit everywhere, just, be on guard until you really know that girL.
Please, remain safe, and keep with reality of the job!

-Have games for when prems aren't so chatty
-Move around, as much as possible
-Have music in the background, softly, something to everyones tates (offer tips for song reqs)
-Keep your Cam Area light and clean/tidy
-Remove all personal/family items from Cam Area
-Be entertaining!!!
-When you want PVT's, put it in the Topic!
-Set a min amount for PVT's in settings
-Be open to all kinks, noone likes a judgemental prude, you can at least listen.
-Sign off if you don't make tips in 35-40 minutes, come back in an hour.
-Enter the model community, we are the only ones who understand this job and the stresses.
-Create a prem account and mingle.
-Have a High Tip/HT thing on your manycams, prems are competitive!
-Help other models where you can, we should all stick together.
-Create a realistic Wishlist.
-Set realistic prices, yes its your body, but BE realistic.
-Make sure your profile is clear and readable and NOT cluttered, prems hate cluttered profiles and will not read them.
-KEEP REGULAR HOURS AND DAYS - SO IMPORTANT TO GAINING AND KEEPING REGULARS.
-Keep it fresh, never do the same topic over and over and over, prems get bored, change it up.
-Stand up for yourself, never let a prem get you down!
-KEEP UP WITH CONTENT WINNERS/BUYERS. I am SO bad for this and it really irks prems, keep upto date and send everything that is bought!
-Let guys know Shark Week is coming up so they know the usual tip menu is off the cards!
-Reward your higher tippers with extra content, discounts etc
-Offer stuff for highest tipper of the Cam Session/Month, IE vids, photosets, cookes, etc.
Remember to have chill cam sessions what are non tip pressured, these are important, let the prems breath sometimes.
-Create stuff thats unique to your room like I have TK at the end of my prems names, it makes prems standout in other rooms

-Sit there with a face like a slapped arse and expect tips, it won't happen.

-DEMAND tokens.
-EXPECT tokens, they are not your wages to share.
-Rage at a prem when he tips another model, learn to share ladies.
-Have token tantrums on cam.
-Whine like a biatch on your snapchat, your snapchat is your best advertising tool besides twitter, use it well.
-Sit on your phone the entire time your on cam, checking is fine, ignoring is not cool.
-Make a prem feel like shit because they can't tip.
-Call prems out in the room for not tipping lately.
-Scamscore moan, this is hard I KNOW but try not too, score doesnt affect prems, they don't care.
-Same for rank, try NOT to whine too much.
-Noone likes a negative nancy, if you're feeling down, don't cam, chat in PMs!
-Have boyfriends in the chatroom, this sucks, I know but it really DOES put prems off!
-Sit there like a lemon and not move around.
-Be ignorant to other models, it won't get you very far.. Community is key in this job.
-Have a snarky bad attitude, this is really off putting!!
-Cry for tokens, come on, you're better than that!
-Stay on if you are not making anything! Yes, chatting is great but you're here to make an income right?
-Say you are going to be on constantly and not come on, gives all the wrong impressions! If you can't make it on, TWEET IT so they know why..
-Always have the same darned topic, this may earn you a steady income but it won't drag you higher..
-Trash talk other models in your room.. guests are watching ladies..
-Same goes for prems.. MFC has eyes EVERYWHERE.
-Over induldge guys that don't tip often, it makes the high tippers feel less important.
-Wear the same outfit constantly, guys like to see something new regular..
-Put a topic up that you won't do!! It will not get tipped for again!
-Offer things you cannot give
-Kink Shame! Yes, some kinks are hilarious, I've done this before and felt harsh afterwards, guys come to you with this stuff privately, keep it that.
-Loose yourself, don't later yourself to be what the prems want, this is your job, not theirs.
-Clear a topic and leave without doing it without a VERY GOOD REASON/Promise to do it later
